AnyCable is a realtime server for reliable two-way communication that supports any backend. Prior to 1.6.15, the telemetry subsystem in telemetry/config.go enables tracking with a hardcoded public authToken, while clusterFingerprint in telemetry/telemetry.go reads the full configuration file and raw os.Args returned by anycableCLIArgs, including values supplied through --secret, --jwt_secret, and --http_rpc_secret. These inputs are passed to generateDigest, where sha256.New produces the hexadecimal fingerprint that is sent as telemetry. The available source therefore does not show raw credentials leaving the process or establish the advisory's claimed confidentiality loss, although the stable fingerprint is derived from secret-bearing configuration and the default telemetry client uses publicly known authentication material. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.15.

In OpenStack Blazar before 17.0.1, the V2 lease API does not enforce object-level authorization on its update and delete operations (PUT /v2/leases/{lease_id} and DELETE /v2/leases/{lease_id}). The policy authorize() wrapper attempts to load the target lease to build the authorization target from its owner, but it looks up the lease under the keyword "lease_id" whereas the controller methods name the parameter "id" (and the wsme_pecan.wsexpose wrapper delivers it positionally). The lookup returns None, and thus authorization falls back to the requesting user's own project_id/user_id instead of the target lease owner. Any authenticated user who knows a lease ID can therefore modify or delete leases belonging to other users and projects, bypassing the intended ownership check.

In OpenStack Blazar before 17.0.1, the V2 lease listing operation (GET /v2/leases) returns leases for every project without enforcing project scoping or an administrator-only policy. Any authenticated user with access to the Blazar REST API can enumerate leases belonging to other tenants, exposing lease IDs, reservation IDs, resource IDs, and reservation metadata. The exposed lease IDs also enable the object-level authorization bypass tracked in the companion request, allowing an attacker to then modify or delete the enumerated leases.

Executing a manipulation can lead to improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts. The attack can be executed remotely. The attack requires a high level of complexity. It is stated that the exploitability is difficult. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The projects own issue #19203 internal ticket admits "IP can be spoofed in most deployments" and that its REAL_IP_ENVIRON-type setting bypasses get_client_ip; fix (right-to-left RFC 7239 hop selection) proposed but still unmerged. The vendor explains within an email, that "[t]his is not a vulnerability, this is working at intended, Saleor expects XFF to be configured properly".
